This 2-part seminar is designed to help parents understand why young athletes need to have not only the physical edge but a mental edge to be successful, motivated and focused at a young age. This is geared towards athletes ages 7 to16.
Part I is for PARENTS ONLY.
The first part of this seminar will cover effective teaching, coaching and training of a young athlete by exploring the psychological makeup of our own children. The material presented will help you understand your own child in terms of their personality, motivational orientation, achievement motivation, competitiveness, anxiety and self-confidence. By the end of part I, you will be able to define and understand the benefits of self-confidence, the sources of sport confidence, how expectations affect performance and behavior, how to assess self-confidence and describe strategies to build self-confidence.
Part II is for parents and athletes.
The second part of this seminar will be a concrete look at where your athlete is currently and give you a road map to understanding how sports psychology concepts can be incorporated early on to develop confidence. Parents and athletes will be provided numerous worksheets to do together at the seminar paired with group discussions following each worksheet. The worksheets cover topics such as "The Inner Game: There is more to sports than the final score", "Practice Time: Concentration and Intensity" and "Confidence from Within: Trusting Your Skills".

This program is all about education and implementation, not limitation. The only limits are those you put on yourself. Anything is possible when you learn to change your attitude towards healthy eating and an active lifestyle.

The program teaches you about low-GI impact eating and how to identify new favorite foods, creating new, healthy behaviors, and improving body composition to get your metabolism operating in high gear.

$25.00 1-hour program will provide the layout of the 3 week nutrition plan. You must purchase the TLS 21 Day Challenge Kit prior to this workshop. This kit can be purchased on this site at the Wellness Store tab.
This workshop is a realistic look at how individuals can overcome bad habits and move forward positively with behaviors, thoughts and feelings towards the intentional changes they are about to make.
This is an action-oriented self-change workshop that will provide concrete directions for new skill development in the areas of nutrition and fitness.
